Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst/Python Developer for a hybrid contract in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
• Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems.
• Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and determine specific input and output requirements, including forms of data input, methods of summarizing data, and report formats.
• Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
• Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine whether requested program changes are feasible within existing systems.
• The role requires hands-on Python development to automate data exchange and data processing in Snowflake.
• This position follows a hybrid schedule with remote work on Mondays and Wednesdays and onsite work on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Local candidates only will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience with Python
• 4 years of experience developing automated solutions involving exchanging data with external partners
• 2 years of experience with Snowflake database development
• 2 years of experience building solutions including Snowpipe
• 2 years of experience building User Defined Functions (UDFs) in Snowflake
• 1 year of experience building solutions in Snowflake that include a custom user interface

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience automating enterprise data exchange processes
• Knowledge of cloud-based data warehouse solutions
• Experience with data integration and ETL workflows
• Experience working in government or healthcare environments
