About the Role
The Clinic is seeking a dependable, highly organized Medical Receptionist to support our busy pulmonology practice. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, values professionalism and accuracy, and is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
You will serve as the first point of contact for patients and play a critical role in maintaining efficient front-office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out procedures
Collect co-pays and verify insurance coverage
Schedule appointments, procedures, and sleep studies
Answer phones and coordinate communication between patients and clinical staff
Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems
Perform administrative duties including filing, scanning, and data entry
Ensure a positive, respectful, and efficient patient experience
Qualifications
Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare setting preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable handling financial transactions and confidential information
Proficient in computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
Ability to work independently and manage a busy provider/patient load
