Location: Manhattan Beach, CA (South Bay)
Schedule: Rotational 2 weeks on/off
Compensation: $150,000+ Gross base starting  DOE with full benefits
Start: Early January (flexible)

We are seeking a second rotational nanny for a warm, thoughtful family in Manhattan Beach. This family is seeking an exceptional  ROTA nanny to join their Nanny team and support their two young children—a toddler and an infant. The Modern Minders Nanny, who is already in place, loves her job and is really excited about finding her co-nanny with whom she can tag-team. This is a long-term role for a professional who thrives in a steady, values-driven household, enjoys a predictable rotation, and brings both heartfelt care and high-level operational skill to a busy young family. The parents are hands-on, intentional, and deeply devoted to creating a calm, grounded, and well-structured environment for their children. Their ideal nanny understands the rhythm of a home that prioritizes stability, safety, and thoughtful decision-making—and can seamlessly blend into that atmosphere with grace.
About the Family This is a loving, engaged home where reliability and emotional steadiness matter. They are looking for a nanny who can truly take ownership of all child-related responsibilities during their on-weeks and downtime. Their lifestyle is social but not chaotic; they prefer a peaceful household where their children can flourish and their values are respected.
The Role The family is building a  two-person ROTA structure , alternating between:
  • 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

with a  mid-week handoff (e.g., Wednesday)so each nanny enjoys regular weekends off during their off-weeks. A live-out for two weeks is strongly preferred; however, live-in is an option for the right person to ensure seamless coverage, especially for travel. If you live local even better.   Core coverage  during the rotation is  7 AM-7 PM,  with the possibility of transitioning into a  full 24/7 coverage depending on candidate fit and travel needs. This is a high-commitment but highly structured role—perfect for someone energized by a rotational lifestyle and able to arrive well-rested and fully present.

Key Responsibilities Toddler Care

  • Create a consistent, nurturing daily rhythm with age-appropriate activities, outdoor time, and purposeful play.
  • Support preschool routines (including a longer commute to preschool once trust in driving is established).
  • Maintain sleep schedules, transitions, and healthy habits.
  • Encourage independence, gentle communication, and a warm, respectful dynamic.

Infant Care

  • Coordinate daytime support alongside the parents
  • Handle feeding, soothing, diapering, and developmental activities such as tummy time.
  • Maintain an extremely safety-focused environment for both children.

Child-Related Household Management

The nanny will fully own the children's "ecosystem,"including:

  • Laundry, linens, wardrobe management, and seasonal organization
  • Daily tidying of play spaces, bedrooms, and shared areas
  • Kid-focused meal prep and kitchen cleanup
  • Packing/unpacking for school, outings, and travel
  • Managing returns, Amazon items, and child-related errands
  • Proactive planning—always staying three steps ahead of family needs

Travel Support

  • Consistent domestic travel with the family; 1-2 international trips annually
  • Pack, organize, and manage travel logistics for the children
  • Set up hotel or rental-home environments so that both children transition smoothly
  • Support Mom during solo-parent travel when needed

Professionalism

  • Uphold strict confidentiality (NDA required)
  • Maintain a  calm, grounded demeanor
  • Understand when to step forward and when to step back so the parents can enjoy hands-on time with both children
  • Treat the home with exceptional care and respect

What They're Looking For:

A nanny who is:

  • Strong track record with past families and impeccable references
  • Strong comfort with "two under two."
  • Previous ROTA, live-in, or high-hours experience highly preferred
  • Strong preference for someone with a child development degree
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Excellent judgment, vigilance, and a common-sense approach to risk
  • A confident defensive driver for Los Angeles traffic
  • Organized & proactive
  • Thrives on structure and staying ahead of needs
  • Keeps spaces tidy, clean, and well-maintained without reminders
  • Values consistency, routine, and clear follow-through

They gravitate toward nannies who naturally fit into a home built around:

  • Thoughtful, traditional family dynamics
  • Respectful communication
  • Steady, grounded presence
  • Personal maturity and discretion
  • Warm, Calm, patient, and genuine
  • Kind, reliable, and emotionally even

Compensation & Benefits: $150k+depending on schedule structure and experience  (Hourly + overtime compliance for all hours worked aligned with CA domestic labor laws).

  • Two weeks paid vacation (in addition to off-rotation time)

  • 5 Plus years of extensive infant + toddler experience
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check and be fingerprinted through the state of California through Trustline
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Exceptional cleanliness and respect for the home
  • Energetic enough for two little ones, but emotionally steady and non-chaotic
